Minnesota Vixen Host Playoff Game July 9th, 2016 The Minnesota Vixen ended the 2016 season with a perfect 8-0 record and as the Midwest Conference Champions!!! The Vixen will host the New York Sharks Saturday July 9th at Simley High School in Inver Grove Heights in an IWFL Playoff Game! All tickets for the cancelled June 11th game will be honored for the July 9thmeeting with the New York Sharks. The Vixen last played the Sharks in 1999, and together they are the two longest running teams in women’s football history. The winner of the July 9th game will continue on to the IWFL World Championship game. Join us for this historic rematch in July!!!!B-52 Beer Bust

Whether you're a novice or planning on trying out for the team, this is a great way to try your hand at some drills with actual Vixen players. This is a casual practice, non-contact, and open to the public. No registration required and FREE!
We will be doing our standard warm ups followed by non-contact drills in both offense and defense. You will get a chance to learn how to do a proper 3 point stance, catch like a receiver and take a hand-off from the quarterback!
Wear athletic clothing appropriate for outdoors including shoes (cleats not required) and bring water to drink. Mouth guards encouraged but not required.

Want to see what it is like to go through those football drills yourself? Ready to relive your powder puff days? Well here is your chance! The Minnesota Vixen are proud to announce their second annual MN Vixen Women’s Football Clinic. Women of all shapes and sizes are invited to participate in this unique on the field instruction. The Minnesota Vixen football clinic offers a distinctive opportunity for women to learn and experience the game of football from on the field. Participants will have the opportunity to be coached by the MN Vixen coaches and to meet actual Vixen players. This one day clinic will encompass instruction on all three phases of the game; special teams, offense and defense. Women will get a chance to learn about positions on the field and participate in specific football drills. Who: Females ages 12 to 50 When: Saturday, August 22nd Time: 10 am to 2 pm Where: Simley High School. The field is located behind the school, off of Cahill Ave next to the tennis courts. June 30, 2015IWFL Names 5 MN Vixen Players and Head Coach to All- Star Team
The Minnesota Vixen are happy to announce 5 players and Head Coach have been named to the 2015 IWFL All-Star Team. All five players, Cynthia Bryant, Emily Evans, Courtney Gibson-Thomas, Jeanie Nelson, Erin Tilford, were named to the Western Conference All Stars First Team. Cynthia ‘Red’ Bryant has been playing for the Vixen since 1999. Red is arguably the best defensive linemen in the league and is consistently one of the leaders in tackles and tackle for loss. Emily Evans led the team to a 6-2 season as quarterback and a team captain. Emily threw for over 1000 yards this season and is in the top 5 quarterbacks in the league. Courtney Gibson-Thomas is a key offensive line player. In only her second season, she earned a spot on the IWFL 2015 ALL-Star Team. Jeanie Nelson was a breakout rookie player this year. She was an impact player on both offense and defense. She led the team in rushing (421 yards, 5.4 avg), touchdowns (7), and was second in interceptions (4). Erin Tilford led the Vixen in tackles and reception yards with 332 yards averaging 27.6 yards per catch. More impressively, she also led the league in interceptions with 7 and returned one for 100 yards against the Iowa Crush in week 10. Coach Brandon Pelinka has led the team to back-to-back winning seasons in his two year tenure as Head Coach. In his first season as Head Coach, the Vixen had a 6-2 record with a bowl appearance in the inaugural Legacy Bowl. In 2015 under his leadership, the Vixen coaching staff was able to take a roster that was over 50% rookies and develop a winning season with a 6-2 record. The 2015 IWFL All Star Game will be held in Rock Hill, SC on Saturday July 25th as part of the 2015 IWFL Championship Weekend. Kickoff is at 10 a.m.
