Andi grew up on a small family dairy farm in rural southeast Minnesota. She always enjoyed being outdoors and doing physical activities like herding cattle, fixing fence, playing tag on the round bales, or seeing how many bags of feed she could carry at one time. She attributes a lot of her work ethic (and large hands and feet) to farming.
Andi moved to the metro area to attend the University of Minnesota where she graduated and met her partner. She maintained her love of the outdoors and hopes her and her partner can have a hobby farm someday. When she’s not working her job as a Minneapolis firefighter, she loves to spend time with her partner and their two dogs, Bandit and Briggs. They also have four chickens and a colony of dermestid beetles. Andi loves to hike, camp, hunt, hang out with friends, help others, and workout. Andi is incredibly excited to learn a new sport, make new friends, and get to travel. She feels very fortunate to get to be part of the Vixen this season!
