Marilla Lahr is a multi sport athlete currently playing high level rugby and football. Her athletic background also includes softball and ultimate frisbee.
Marilla grew up near Alexandria, MN where she lived until March of 2023 when she relocated to Minneapolis. She was homeschooled through high school and then attended Metropolitan State University for her bachelor’s degree followed by MSU Moorhead where she completed her MBA.
Marilla’s love of football brought her to the sport of rugby which she joined in college because it was the closest thing to football that women had the opportunity to compete in. While in college rugby, Marilla was chosen twice to play on the Northern Lights All Stars team. Marilla credits her love of football to the countless hours spent with her brothers and friends playing in the backyard.
